Two ways to build it
Both get the same design, tracking and care. The difference is who makes the changes: me, or you.
Custom-built site
- From 1 to 3 pages, up to about 15
- The fastest option, scoring 95 to 100 for mobile speed
- No plugins or software to update, so there's very little to go wrong
- An hour of changes a month is included in the care plan

WordPress site
- From 5 to 7 pages, up to about 15
- Change words, photos and prices, or write a blog post, in WordPress's own editor
- The layout is locked, so an edit can't break the design
- Hosted on Cloudways servers in Sydney, with monthly updates and backups
- Standard WordPress with no paid page builder, so any web developer can take it over

How much does it cost to design a website on the Gold Coast?
Most small business sites in Australia cost from a few hundred dollars on a builder to $10,000 or more at an agency. Custom-built sites start from $1,500 and WordPress sites from $4,000, then a care plan from $150 a month. I quote a fixed price in writing after a short chat, based on the number of pages, before anything is built. The Australian website cost guide adds up the build and three years of running costs.
How many pages will my site need?
Most small businesses need 5 to 7 pages, covering home, one page for each main service, a contact page and a privacy policy. A one page site suits a new business getting started. Larger builds of up to about 15 pages add pages for each location or type of job.
Do I own my website?
Yes. The domain, your Google accounts and the site files are yours. If you ever move on, I hand everything over. Hosting and care run month to month with one month's notice, so you're never locked in.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. I can rebuild a Wix, Squarespace or WordPress site as a faster custom-built site, keep your domain and email working, and redirect old pages so you don't lose what Google already knows about you.
Will my website rank on Google?
Every site launches ready for Google: fast, with proper titles, headings, schema and a sitemap. Ranking for competitive searches takes ongoing SEO on top of that. Nobody can honestly promise a ranking, and I don't.
Can I make changes myself?
Yes, if you want to. I can build your site on WordPress, where you log in and change the words, photos, prices and blog posts yourself. The layout is locked, so an edit can't break the design. Most businesses choose a custom-built site and email me their changes, and the care plan includes an hour of changes a month.
